Antimicrobial resistance and antibiotic consumption

Prevention of antimicrobial resistance and surveillance of antimicrobial consumption is coordinated:

- surveillance of antimicrobial consumption includes several protocols. Data are provided to ESAC-Net network, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC);

- creation and coordination of regional antimicrobial resistance management groups;

- commemoration of European Antibiotic Awareness Day is organised (Read more);

- development of recommendations and other information.
